Hi. You may not find any clubs that have cricket activities for kids that young. I’d suggest you play as many different games with him yourself to develop his agility, balance and coordination…but this will come with time. Daniel

Here in Australia cricket is extremely popular and almost all primary & secondary school kids are participating in this great sport.

Unfortunately just like you mentioned, too many kids are put into a senior competitive environment and are quite simply deterred due to everything being much more fast paced and more injury stricken.

“positive experience from playing senior cricket” – This is exactly right and we have to remember that it’s meant to be fun for the kids.

Dear Daniel

I have a two and half year old who is ‘cricket mad’ to say the least. I take him to football sessions and also swimming classes, but I cannot find any cricket based activity for toddlers. The Michael Vaughan camp does certain days during the holidays for under fours. Do you have any idea of where I can take my little one in North London?
